You should only need to cancel a shift within 48 hours of the shift start time in very exceptional circumstances and will not be able to do this via your app. You must phone the office and if for any reason you are unable to get through you must send us an email to email@example.com.
Shifts cancelled this late are significantly harder for us to fill and can put pressure on our relationship with Partners, which could in turn reduce the amount of work available to other Members. As such we have a late cancellation policy in place to deter this from happening:
- If you cancel within 48 hours of the shift start time this will count as a strike and it will impact your reliability rating on the app
- Cancellations within 2 hours of the shift start time are counted as a double strike and will significantly impact your reliability rating and the number of available shifts you are able to see will be reduced.
Please be advised that if you get 3 strikes over a short period of time, this will lead to your removal from the app.
We understand emergencies do happen so for some extraordinary situations exceptions can be made.
