You should only need to cancel a shift within 48 hours of the shift start time in very exceptional circumstances and will not be able to do this via your app. You must phone the office and if for any reason you are unable to get through you must send us an email to helpdesk@rota.com.
Shifts cancelled this late are significantly harder for us to fill and can put pressure on our relationship with Partners, which could in turn reduce the amount of work available to other Members. As such we have a late cancellation policy in place to deter this from happening:
- If you cancel within 48-24 hours of the shift start time, a £10 deduction will be applied to your account
- If you cancel within 24 hours of the shift start time, a £20 deduction will be applied.
- Cancellations within 4 hours of the shift start time are viewed as a no-show and could result in your removal from the app.
We understand emergencies do happen so if your reason for cancelling is due to medical reasons or a police incident, please send us a copy of the police statement or a doctor’s note from your GP and no deductions will apply.
